Review: Beautiful Disaster

Synopsis

The new Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University's Walking One-Night Stand.
Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby needs—and wants—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.

When I first picked up this book I didn't know much about it but the cover drew me in. Later it became one of my all time favorites. Everything about this book is amazing; The story, characters, the feels!
I literally couldn't put this book down.
Beautiful Disaster is the first book in Beautiful series by Jamie McGuire. I really enjoyed this story. It was funny, beautiful, and a tear-jerker and if you are looking for something like that, this series is for you.

Okay ladies... Here comes your new hottie.

"Shake in your boots, boys, and drop your panties, ladies! I give you: Travis ‘Mad Dog’ Maddox"

Travis is impulsive, erratic, hot tempered, but perfect in every other way. With his sexiness, tattoos and charms who would be immune?

"Don't you remember, Travis? You ruined her sweater."
Travis smiled. "I ruin a lot of sweaters."
"Gross," I muttered."

But there's more to him than his looks. He's also sweet, kind and vulnerable and that makes impossible not to fall for him.

"To douchebags!" he said, gesturing to Brad. "And to girls that break your heart," he bowed his head to me. His eyes lost focus. "And to the absolute fucking horror of losing your best friend because you were stupid enough to fall in love with her."

And for Abby, she is an amazing character. I really liked her, and in times I found myself relating to her. She's a good girl, doesn't drink, doesn't get in trouble, pretty much Travis' complete opposite. But somehow, they are drawn to each other.

I loved seeing the dynamic between Travis and Abby and what really intrigued me was Travis' obsession with Abby. It's unhealthy, disturbing and dangerous, but that's what makes this book so good.

"You need to walk away, Pidge. God knows I can't walk away from you."

"-It's over. Go home.
-You're my home."

"He was afraid of nothing. Until he'd met me."

Jamie McGuire's writing is marvelous. This woman has a way with words. Every time I pick one of her books, they seem to always keep getting better!
If you haven't read this book you are totally missing out. It's freaking mind blowing! 5+ STARS!!!
